Biography

Dedicating over 25 years to her career as an educator and navigating life with invisible illness, Cheri was reluctant to face her personal heartbreak. With her life plan upended, Cheri’s determination to Never Give Up reveals happiness in an unusual fashion.

Cheri Warcholak ( pronounced War- shaw-lick) Lohrey (pronounced like the season salt - Lawry) is the bestselling author of Powered by the Pivot and Cleo the Caterpillar CAN Pivot. Her mission, both in life and through her writing, is to share her personal strategy to Pause, Breathe, and Pivot. Her memoir and her debut children’s book draw from this empowering framework; as well as, encourage mindfulness and strengthen confidence, especially when navigating life’s pivots.

Her third book, coming February 2026, “I AM Cleo” shares her artistic illustrations. This rhythmic heartfelt story mirrors Cheri’s life and will assist to open the door for tough conversations for anyone, at any age, navigating illness and loss.
